How do I create our school profile?

You will need an administrator to manage your school's participation in the program and they will be required to create your school's profile. Once your profile is complete, your administrator will be able to tick your school's pledges and manage them as you go.  They will also be able to showcase your school's achievements in the area of sustainability by marking off all the pledges on the school's pledge card which your school is already doing (or has done).

To create your school profile, you must first create your own household profile.  On the Home page, follow the prompts for setting up an individual profile.  (Please note that you are not required to make any pledges or provide your personal address if you do not wish to participate as an individual.  If this is the case, simply click 'Next' until the process is complete.)

When you have set up your household profile, click on the 'Groups' tab and choose 'Create a School'.  Follow the prompts.

How do I create a class profile?

If you are the administrator, enter your school's profile by clicking on the 'My School' tab from your Household pledge page.  On the left hand side of the page, you will see the icon, 'Create Class'.  Follow the prompts.

If you are a teacher but not the administrator of your school's profile, you must first create your own household profile.  Once you have done this and you are logged in, click on the 'Groups' tab and select 'Join a School'.  Click on the school you would like to join.  On the right hand side of the page, you will see an icon called, 'Create class'.  Click on this icon and follow the prompts.

Only the person who created a class can create student profiles for restricted students.  If, for example, the school administrator creates a restricted class, they cannot then ask the classroom teacher to create students' profiles.  This must be done by the administrator.  However, a teacher can create their own class and thereby create student profiles for that class also.

Please note that for privacy reasons, classes which contain any students aged 13 and under should be classified 'Restricted' when choosing the type of class.  This will prevent the public from seeing those students' names and their details.

How do our students create their profiles?

For primary students:

For students under the age of 13, a teacher should select 'Restricted' when creating that class.  The teacher will then be required to enter every student in to their class and create their profiles for them.  Students will require a username and a password.

If you are the administrator of your school's profile, click on the class you wish to add students to.  On the left hand side you will see an icon called 'Add a Student'.  Follow the prompts.

Please note that if you are a teacher but not the administrator of your school's profile, in order to create your restricted (aged 13 and under) students' profiles, you must be responsible for creating your own class.  Whoever created the class must also create the student profiles.  An administrator cannot currently create a class and then ask the classroom teacher to create their students' profiles.

For secondary students:

For students over the age of 13, the administrator of a class can select the icon on the left hand side of their class's profile page which reads 'Invite students to join'.  Alternatively, students can click on the class they wish to join from the school's public profile, then click on the 'Join Students' icon on the right hand side of the page.

How do I prevent students from other schools from joining ours?

When a new class asks to join your school or a new student asks to join your class, the administrator must approve that addition.  If someone asks to join your group who you don't know, you are free to ignore their request.

How can I see a list of students in my class?

Go to your class profile via your 'My Schools' tab; on the left hand side is an icon 'Student List' where you can see all the accounts you have created.
