Friends

How do I view my Friends?

You can view friends who have joined daysofchange.org and accepted to be your friend by clicking on 'My Friends' under the 'Friends' tab. From your 'My Friends' page, you can view your friends pictures, pledge cards or send them a message.

How do I find Friends or add a Friend to my Friends list?

You can find friends who have joined daysofchange.org by entering their name or user name in the search bar (located in the top right hand corner of the website) or by doing a search on the 'Find my Friend' page under the 'Friends' tab.

To refine your search check the 'Search Western Australia Only' box when on the 'Find My Friends' screen.

How do I message Friends?

Messages of support and encouragement can be sent to friends who have accepted you by:

  • Clicking on 'Message a Friend' under the 'Friends' tab
  • Clicking on 'Create' within the 'Messages' tab
  • Clicking on the 'Inbox' and 'Send a new message'
  • Clicking on a message from a friend, which gives you the opportunity to 'Send a reply'

Whichever method you use to begin messaging, the writing of the message will generally involve the same simple steps.

  • Select or enter the emailed address of the friend/s that you would like to message
  • Write your message
  • Click on 'Send'

Why doesn't a friend I invited appear in my friends list?

Your friend/s you invited to join daysofchange.org will only appear on your 'My Friends' list once they have accepted your invite. To do this, they must click on 'Respond now: Click here to confirm friend requests' in the message they have received from you.

Groups

How do I search for a group?

You can search for groups (a school or organisation) you would like join by either clicking on 'Join a School' or 'Join an Organisation' and using the search function in these pages to look for the groups that interest you. You can also use the 'Search' bar in the top right hand corner of the website to perform the same search.

Once you have clicked on the profile of the group that you would like to join, go to the top right hand corner and select how you would like to join. That is, as staff, a student, a member or just as a follower. All those who join a group except followers have an ability to contribute, by making pledges to help the group become more sustainable.

How do I join a school?

To join a school go to the 'Groups' tab and select 'Join a School'. Here you can search to see if your school has joined daysofchange.org. If they have not, encourage them to join.

Once you have clicked on the profile of your school, go to the top right hand corner and select how you would like to join. That is, as staff, a student or just as a follower. All those who join a school except followers have an ability to contribute, by making pledges to help the school become more sustainable.

Depending on how your schools administrator has set up the school's profile, you may need to wait until they approve your application to join the school.

How do I join an organisation?

To join an organisation go to the 'Groups' tab and select 'Join an Organisation'. Here you can search to see if your organisation has joined daysofchange.org.

Once you have clicked on the profile of your organisation, go to the top right hand corner and select how you would like to join. That is, as staff, a member or just as a follower. All those who join an organisation except followers have an ability to contribute, by making pledges to help the organisation become more sustainable.

Depending on how the administrator sets up the organisation's profile, you may need to wait until they approve your application to join.

How can I see the groups I have requested to join?

Under the 'Groups' tab select 'Pending Group Memberships' to be able to view the groups that you have requested to join. On this page, you will also be able to see applications that people have made to join groups that you are a administrator of.

Recruits

How do I see who has accepted my requests to join?

Click on 'My Recruits' under the 'Recruits' tab to be able to see all those who accepted your invitation to join the program.

How do I recruit others to join?

Recruiting is for about inviting others to get involved in the program and make a difference.

You can recruit someone new to the program by clicking on 'Recruit Someone New' under the 'Recruits' tab.

From here you will be able to enter the email addresses of all your friends, family, colleagues or anyone else, and send them a message encouraging them to join. You can either send individual or group messages.

If they are not already members and they accept your invitation, you will be their ambassador and they will be known as your recruits. You will then know that they decided to make a positive change too.

Once they have joined the program you can then add any of your recruits as your friends, as friends you will not only be able to see each other's pledge cards, you will be able to encourage each other with messages of support.

 

How do I check who I have invited to join?

You can check on who you have invited to join daysofchange.org by clicking on 'Pending Recruits' under the 'Recruits' tab. You will then be able to view all the email address that you have sent a message to.

Who are my ambassadors?

Your Ambassadors are the people who got you involved in daysofchange.org. You can view who these people are, by going to the 'Recruits' tab and by clicking on 'My Ambassadors'.

How do I check my messages?

Simply by clicking on 'Inbox' under the 'Messages' drop down menu. Once in the 'Inbox' screen you will be able to check all of your received messages.

How do I message friends?

How do I message other people?

You are not able to message other people on the daysofchange.org website unless you are both friends in program. You can however send messages to peoples external email systems with the use of the 'Recruit Someone New' option within the 'Recruit' tab. Once you have invited someone to join the program, and they have accepted you as a friend, you will be able to message each other on the daysofchange.org website.

How do I check my sent messages?

Simply by clicking on 'Sent' under the 'Messages' drop down menu. Once in the 'Sent' screen you can check all of your sent messages.
