Thanks to Channel 7, The West Australian, GWN, 94.5 and The Quokka

Thanks also to Sungrid. As our Vision Partner, Sungrid shares our

And thanks to our many other partners who are right behind the move

program that had never been run before on this scale.

And lastly thank you for your support of Days of Change and for

They're stashed away in
cupboards, hidden in junk drawers and forgotten in storage closets.
Number crunchers have estimated that 14 - 16 million old mobile
phones are lying around un-used, hoarded by people like you and
me.

On the one hand, holding on to these dinosaur phones (and not
throwing them into landfill) saves the environment from some
serious non biodegradable nasties. Your average hand phone contains
a cocktail of toxic ingredients such as lead, arsenic, cadmium,
beryllium and mercury.

On the flipside, letting your unwanted mobile sit around isn't
doing the planet much good either. The answer here is to
recycle.

According to our friends at MobileMuster, more than
90% of the materials in a mobile (batteries, circuit boards,
plastic housings and metal) can be recovered and used as raw
materials for new products. This kind of scrap salvaging not only
saves our natural resources but also drastically cuts down energy
needed for mining.

At iiNet,
it's no secret that they love technology and cool gadgets. Starting
this month, iiNet staff are rounding up retired handsets and
jumping on board MobileMuster, ticking off one of their daysofchange.org workplace pledges.

If you have one or more old mobile phones lying around, do the
recycling thing and join the
muster. Find a MobileMuster
depot in your neighbourhood and hand 'em over.

A dream to create a vast global online community of people
working together to bring about and inspire real change in homes,
workplaces and schools across the globe that would ensure children
and future generations everywhere will inherit a better and cleaner
world than we have now.

The key to success of this dream was that people who had already
joined and seen the many benefits, the urgency for change and the
potential of this program, would then go on a invite their friends
and family to get involved.

Since the start of May more than 25,000 West Australians have
joined this community and if you check out the map of your suburb
(see article below) you will see that the community is growing. But
we aren't there yet. In fact by the end of May we need to more than
double the number of people involved.

While we have already had an incredible amount of support, we
urgently need your help, with just 10 days left in May, to keep the
dream alive. All you need to do is i<a href="/invite/invite-others.aspx"

For those of you who logged on to daysofchange.org in the very
first days of May you will have noticed that the Map that appeared
next to your household pledge card was live, showing everyone
around your house who was participating in Days of Change.

Unfortunately, with the rapid growth in the number of people
participating we soon found that this live map was causing
performance issues and was causing the browsers to crash for a
number of people. A nice problem to have you might say.

Since then, we've only had a static image of the map which when
clicked on would show a summary of households in the region.
Nowhere near as satisfying. That's why we've included below the
current maps of WA and Perth so you can check out just how many
people are participating in the program.

And we're pleased to announce that we've just launched some new
functionality so that when you click on the map next to your pledge
card when you are logged on to daysofchange.org you will then see a
live map with the 200 households nearest to your household that are
participating in Days of Change. Simply visit <a
